Why Choose In Tune Theatre?

Danny's encouraging and nurturing teaching style creates a safe space for students to experiment with their performance techniques, within a supportive and disciplined environment. Performers are encouraged to develop an appreciation for the material they explore, to understand and interpret melody and lyrics they share with their audience, to step outside of their comfort zone, and to build resilience when things don't go to plan. In Tune Theatre is not intended to replace singing lessons but to complement them - it is designed to enhance performance techniques that will support every performer's developing stage presence, performance interpretation & delivery. In Tune Theatre is not a national franchise - it is a family run business centred around a genuine passion for theatre and performing arts.

In Tune Theatre school workshops are normally delivered across either a half-day (typically 3 hours) or full day (typically 6 hours) and can cater for up to 90 students per workshop (subject to staff availability and your school having sufficient workshop space). Workshops typically require a suitably sized hall for each group of 30 students, ideally with a piano/keyboard & sound system (although these may be provided if required).

In Tune Theatre workshops draw from a range of singing & performance activities (depending on the school's preference, student age & workshop length), which may include breathing, singing & warmup exercises, developing vocal technique, story telling through song, stage movement & direction, dance & choreography.

Danny Davies usually leads all In Tune Theatre school-based workshops and, depending on student numbers, scheduled activities and workshop length, he may be joined by one or more professionals from the relevant field. Workshops usually operate on a minimum ratio of 1 tutor to 30 students. It is In Tune Theatre policy for school staff to be present during all workshops for safeguarding purposes.
